Patty Thompson epitomizes the words developmental, caring and talented. She has built her career on refining her expertise so she can develop others; both personally and professionally. She is an authority on adult learning practice and instructional design, while also being a super-talented consultant and engaging facilitator. Patty’s experience combines practical application and industry knowledge: she has excelled in roles on the front line, as a manager, regional director and consultant and considers herself a lifelong student of theory. Her attention to detail combined with her effective listening skills, comprehensive, creative and nurturing approach and flawless execution earns her high accolades from clients across the CSE portfolio.

Patty’s management background began at Casual Corner Group, Inc. as a District Manager leading 24 stores in the Baltimore/Washington market where she created and developed service standards and selling behaviors furthering the importance of customer service within the organization. She developed and executed training for the District Manager Program company-wide. Success followed her as a Mid-Atlantic Regional Director where she led over 300 employees to stellar sales results. Her next career step involved developing a pilot program relating to the recruiting process and initiatives during an acquisition of over 200 stores for After Hours Formalwear.

Patty brought her expertise to CSE in 2000 where she currently serves as Director of Talent and Learning and Development. During her illustrious career at CSE, she has provided customized, multi-faceted service improvement programs focusing on creating a service culture, establishing service principles, impacting sales and the customer experience for CSE clients. She also has a dual role, supporting and implementing the development of the CSE team, striving for maximum effectiveness and value for our clients.

Patty has earned her CPLP (Certified Professional of Learning and Performance), having demonstrated practical expertise in adult learning and performance that can be readily applied to the work environment. She is also CEM (Customer Experience Management) certified, demonstrating how to successfully design and implement a customer experience strategy within organizations. Additionally, she has successfully completed Covey Leadership & The Freidman Group Multiple Store Supervision Certification. Patty studied marketing at Robert Morris College in Pittsburgh and serves on the Board of Directors for the Prenatal Care Unit at Howard County, MD Hospital.
